Nasiru began his career as a Forest Officer in the Bauchi State Ministry of Housing and Environment, where he has served for several years in various capacities before rising to his current leadership role as Director of Climate Change. He has actively participated in major intervention projects, including Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR), the Great Green Wall initiative, and the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project. These initiatives focus on combating desertification, restoring degraded lands, enhancing biodiversity, and building climate resilience in northern Nigeria.”
