It is positioned as Nigeria’s go-to hub/ authoritative resource center for subnational climate governance, facilitating better decision-making, cross-state learning, and enhanced climate action implementation.
The data is intended to support evidence-based policymaking, cross-state learning, useful/critical data for researchers and citizens in making informed decisions on national climate targets, compliance document formulations, national developments, climate finance, and targeted interventions to strengthen Nigeria’s climate governance landscape.
This phenomenal national climate knowledge infrastructure is not only a legacy-building for deep national climate governance but also a centralised, well-structured portal for Subnational Climate Governance that will empower transparency, action, and accountability across all 36 states.
